Official Response of Calvary Baptist Church to the COVID-19 Virus & Phase 1 of Reopening
May 31st-June 28th
We are excited to reopen Calvary Baptist Church. Here is what our ministries will look like on May 31st and in the month of June:
We will have regular morning service on Sundays at 10:30am. If there is an overwhelming response of attendance on May 31st, we will move to a two-service format with services at 9am and 11am with an hour of cleaning and sanitizing between the two services. All services will be kept to an hour in length or less.
There will be no children's ministry or nursery during the service.
Youth group will resume starting May 31st and will start at 5:30pm and run until 6:30pm.
There will be no evening service for the month of June.
All Bible Studies and Life Groups may resume meeting.
The following details will be helpful to you as you prepare to come back to church:
The building will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before and after gatherings.
Doors will be open to limit the touching of door handles.
The Livestream will still be available online for those who wish to remain at home. If you are not well, please stay home.
Hand Sanitizer will be available at stations around the church.
We will not be passing offering plates during the service. There will be plates that you can put your offering in as you exit the service if you wish to give.
We will be observing 6ft. of social distancing in the auditorium and the fellowship hall. Please sit with your family unit and at least 3 chairs away from the family next to you.
When gatherings are over, we would encourage you to fellowship outside if possible and weather permitting.
We would ask you to consider the following recommendations for Houses of Worship from the CDC:
Wash your hands regularly.
Consider wearing a mask in high traffic areas.
If you are considered high-risk, consider not attending large gatherings.
We recognize that these guidelines are not ideal, and that they may even frustrate you. Please remember that we are doing our best to provide an opportunity for our church to meet as safely as possible, as soon as possible, with as much love for our neighbor as possible, in submission to our governing authorities, and ultimately to the Lord! We love you and can't wait to see you here!
In Christ, The Pastors & Deacons
